We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.

3. Hosting

Our website is hosted by Netlify (Netlify, Inc., San Francisco, USA); data may be transferred to the USA. When you access the website, the web server automatically creates server log files containing information such as:

Browser type and version
Operating system used
Referrer URL (previously visited page)
IP address of the accessing computer
Time of the server request

This data cannot be assigned to specific persons and is not merged with other data sources. It serves solely to ensure the trouble-free operation of the website.

4. Cookies and Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, in so-called Consent Mode. Without your consent Google Analytics runs in basic mode: no cookies are set and no persistent identifiers are stored; Google only receives anonymous, aggregated signals such as page views, with a shortened IP address. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in anonymous reach measurement (Art. 31 FADP or Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR).

If you choose «Accept» in the cookie notice, Google Analytics may additionally set cookies and collect information such as pages visited, time on site, device and browser used and approximate location, and store it on Google servers, possibly in the USA. We use IP anonymisation. The legal basis for this extended analysis is your consent (Art. 31 para. 1 FADP or Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR).

Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage, as is your language choice. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via the «Cookie settings» link in the footer. We do not set advertising cookies.

5. Fonts

For consistent display we load fonts from Google Fonts (Google Ireland Limited, Dublin, Ireland). Your IP address is transmitted to Google in the process. Further information can be found in Google's privacy policy.

6. Contact form

If you use our contact form, we process the data you enter (name, e-mail address, optionally company, your situation and your message) for the purpose of handling your enquiry.

Form submissions are processed via the «Netlify Forms» service of our hosting provider Netlify, stored in our Netlify account and delivered to us by e-mail. Data may be transferred to the USA. Netlify processes this data as a processor on our behalf; the transfer is based on the EU standard contractual clauses.

To protect against spam, the form contains an additional field that is invisible to humans («honeypot»). If this field is filled in, the submission is discarded. This method works without cookies.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry (Art. 31 FADP or Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). The data is deleted once the communication is complete and no statutory retention obligations apply.

7. Your rights

You have the right to obtain information free of charge about the origin, recipient and purpose of your stored personal data, as well as the right to have this data corrected or deleted.
